Lisa Crumit-Hancock

Director, Student Academic Support Services

Lisa is a graduate of Defiance College with a BS in English and History and a graduate of Bowling Green State University with a MA in American Culture Studies. She taught a variety of courses from Philosophy to Children's Literature and Cultural Diversity to Composition at both Northwest State Community College and Defiance College over the course of seventeen years prior to taking the position of Learning Commons Manager in September of 2011 and then Director of Student Academic Support Services in December of 2012. Lisa enjoys helping students improve their study and writing skills so they can own their education. She is married to John (yes, John Hancock...seriously) and they have two children. When not in the Student Academic Support Services area of the Pilgrim Library assisting students, she enjoys reading, listening to podcasts as well as Motown, watching movies, gardening, and spending time with her family.
