About the Library
Defiance College's Pilgrim Library is a member of OPAL (Ohio Private Academic Libraries) and OhioLINK. Through these consortial memberships, students and faculty have borrowing privileges at 89 libraries in Ohio including 16 public/research universities, 23 community/technical colleges, 50 private colleges, and the State Library of Ohio. Borrowing privileges are also available at Cuyahoga County Public Library and Westerville Public Library.
The Library’s holdings include 105,000 books, 105 print journals/magazines, and 6 daily/weekly newspaper subscriptions. In addition, the Library provides access to: 48 million books, millions of electronic articles, 12,000 electronic journals, 140 databases, 25,000 e-books; thousands of images, videos and sounds, 12,000 theses and dissertations from Ohio students and more. The Library also maintains the college’s archives and special collections.

Mission Statement
The mission of Pilgrim Library is to contribute to effective teaching, learning, and research at Defiance College, by promoting information literacy, by providing diverse information resources that support the curriculum, and by collaborating with the faculty to further academic success.
Driving Directions
Pilgrim Library is located on the east end of the academic quad. On-street parking is available on College Place and Webster Street. Customized driving directions can be found by using Google Maps.
