Testing Center: ACT On-Campus

Purpose

The ACT On-Campus test is used for admission to Defiance College. It is designed for those who were unable to test on an ACT National Testing date. The ACT On-Campus Test is strictly limited to students who have officially applied, have been admitted, or have enrolled at Defiance College. Scores from on-campus testing are only valid at Defiance College and cannot be transferred by transcript or other means to any other institution or agency,

The test takes approximately 3 hours and consists of four parts:  English (45 minutes), Mathematics (60 minutes), Reading (35 minutes) and Science Reasoning (35 minutes). There is usually a 10-minute break after the Mathematics test. Scores are reported to the admissions office within 2 business days of testing.

Testing Information

  • Please remember to bring your photo ID, #2 pencil, and a scientific calculator

  • $80 non-refundable test fee payable by credit card is due at the time of registration.

  • No cell phones permitted in the test room.  (lockers provided)

  • Dress in layers to ensure you are ready for any room temperature.

  • Hooded sweatshirts and sweaters are not permitted

  • Must wait 60 days to retake the same test.

  • Test is only valid for admission purposes at Defiance College. The score cannot be sent to another institution.
