If you are looking for an article, the first place to go is probably going to be one of our library databases. When you hear your professor or one of the librarians say database, we are referring to a research tool that you can use to find information for your paper or project.
Not all databases are the same. Some databases are collections of thousands of full-text books or articles (this means you can click and you can read online.) Other databases provide basic article information (a.k.a. citations and abstracts) that you can use to discover the existence of an article. Some focus on particular subject areas and some are deliberately multidisciplinary. The links below should get you started with the process of searching for articles.
