Filmmakers Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi chronicle Alex Honnold's attempt to accomplish the first free solo climb of El-Capitan. Free solo climbing is done without the use of ropes or any other protective equipment. El Capitan is an almost 3,000 feet tall vertical rock face in Yosemite National Park that is a dream for many rock climbers to scale. The filmmakers follow Honnold as he trains for the climb and discusses his excitement and fear about the great feat.
