Technology Accessories You Can Borrow

The Library loans the following items for 2-hour library use. You must leave your Defiance College ID when checking out these items.

Ask to borrow any of these items at the Circulation Desk. Use of technology accessories are on a first come/first borrow basis. Library holds are not available. 

  • Sennheiser HD201 Headphones
  • Kingston 19-in-1 USB 2.0 Flash Memory Card Reader

Earbuds may also be purchased at the Circulation Desk for $1.

How to Borrow Technology Accessories

Who May Borrow
Only currently enrolled students and actively employed faculty and staff of Defiance College may borrow technology accessories.

Loan Period
Technology accessories may be borrowed for a period of 2-hour in-library use. Borrowers must wait 2 hours after returning an item before borrowing the accessory again.

Replacement Costs for Lost or Damaged Accessories
Anyone borrowing an accessory is acknowledging that they "understand that there are certain responsibilities associated with the usage of this equipment and agree to the following terms and conditions":

  • borrower understands that all electronic equipment and/or accessories are the property of Defiance College.
  • borrower will return all equipment to Defiance College in the same condition in which it was provided to me.
  • borrower will return all equipment on specified due date.
  • borrower understands that failure to return equipment will result in an overdue fine.
  • borrower is responsible for the replacement cost for equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged.  Damages include but are not limited to accidents, neglect, or misuse.
  • borrower understands that legal action may be taken for failure to return equipment without proper compensation.

These technology accessories are in-library use and they circulate for 2-hour periods.  If a patron keeps the accessory past its two-hour loan period, it will be considered overdue and will be fined at the rate of 50 cents per hour.
