All About InterLibrary Loan
Do you need something that neither Defiance's Pilgrim Library nor OPAL/ OhioLink institutions own?
Interlibrary loan is available to current DC students, faculty, and staff. Fill out the form on this page with both your contact information and a citation for the item you would like us to get for you. It's OK to put zero in the "max cost" box. We try to borrow from libraries that don't charge a fee whenever possible.
Be as complete with your citation as possible, as this makes it quicker for us to get the item for you. ILL items can take a week or longer to arrive because often they come from outside of Ohio, so please don't wait till the last minute to request.
Journal articles will be sent in electronic format, and library staff will forward them to you via email. If you request a book or AV item, loan period is usually 30 days, and you cannot automatically renew them yourself. Ask a librarian for help if you need them longer.
