Lisa Crumit-Hancock

Assistant Dean of Student Success

Director of Library and Informational Resources

B.S., Defiance College; M.A., Bowling Green State University / / 419.783.2332

Responsibilities: Provide Leadership and Supervision for Success Services: Pilgrim Library & Informational Resources, Academic Support Center, Writing Studio, Structured Study Program (Study Tables), First-Year Experience (FYE), Pathways to Academic Student Success Program (DC PASS), DC F1RST (first-gen student program), Academic Coaching, and other academic retention initiatives.

I enjoy helping students improve their academic and research skills so they can own their education.  The best part of my job is creating spaces, services, and experiences that promote student success at Defiance College.  When not in the Pilgrim Library assisting students, I enjoy reading, binge watching movies and tv series on multiple streaming platforms, doing jigsaw puzzles (1500 pieces or bust!), and most importantly, spending time with my family.

Collette Knight

B.S., Defiance College / 419.783.2482

Responsibilities: Hire, train, and supervise student assistants; oversee circulation activities for all types of library materials; and assist in providing reference services to library patrons using all available sources and formats.

The Pilgrim Library's location at the "heart of campus" serves as a welcomed gathering area that enables connections and collaboration between students and information. My motivation is that individuals utilize the building, its resources, and staff to further their academic success. As an alumna of Defiance College, the pillars of our Mission Statement "To Know, To Understand, To Lead, To Serve" shape my daily interactions.
